Turkana Christmas Goat Drive

Join us this Christmas season in donating a much-needed gift to our sponsored student villages in Turkana!

This Christmas, we want to give our Turkanan friends 100 desperately needed goats! Yes, 100 goats! Why goats? Goats are a necessary livestock in Kenyan culture. Unlike us, they don’t have a Walmart or Hy-Vee down the street. A herd of goats provides jobs, it provides them with dairy products such as milk and cheese, and it provides them meat during the dry season. 

This past season the drought wiped out our sponsor’s goat herds and we would like to gift the ten villages with new goats for this upcoming season. 

Would you consider buying a goat in the place of a regular gift this Christmas season to help us? Each goat is $30. To purchase a goat:

1) Stop by our “Goat Christmas Tree” in the hallway by the Spotlight Booth at North Pointe. 

2) Grab a goat ornament or two, scan the QR code, or head to our website and select the “Turkana Goats” category. 

3) Hang the ornament on your tree or gift it to a friend or family member and explain the impact this gift will make in the Turkana community this coming year!
