PARTNERSHIP OVERVIEW

We seek to provide a holistic approach to the extreme poverty in Turkana County, Kenya through a partnership with Pastor Erus Jackson by providing the following:

1) Equipping pastors to disciple others in their local community.

2) Giving high school students a chance to graduate by paying their school fees, supplies, and access to pastoral counseling.

3) Assisting with community projects, when funding is available.

SPONSORSHIP OVERVIEW:

For $70/month, you can walk alongside one of these students to help them pursue an education and be overseen by their local pastor.

YOUR DONATION COVERS:

Tuition fees, student supplies, staff visitation, and travel coordination costs for one student.

Once a year, we gather all of our sponsored students in Turkana for a summer camp. At camp, the students get the chance to make friends with other students, develop stronger relationships with Erus and his team, and meet some friends from the USA. This is also an opportunity to share the love of Jesus with them. We love camp because it’s when we meet all the students face-to-face. Any donations specifically for Turkana will go towards sending a sponsored student to Turkana Camp this summer! We travel to Lodwar, Kenya, yearly to visit with ten local pastors who shepherd ten churches in Turkana County. During this week-long visit, we provide soul care for the pastors, discipleship training, practical ways to study the Bible, and many other hands-on training methods to equip the pastors to be Christ in their communities.

North Pointe donated the funds in 2024 to construct this office building for Pastor Erus to work out of. This is where he does pastor training with the 10 pastors who shepherd 10 churches in Turkana County and also oversee the sponsored students. Pastor Erus is in the red shirt.
